Ambient People is recruiting an interim Finance Manager for a central London local authority.

You will manage two accountants and report into the Head of Finance in providing a finance business partnering service to the Communities directorate. This includes monitoring, forecasting, working on delivering new savings as well as tracking savings targets.

You will be a qualified accountant with previously experience at Finance Manager level in local government previously. Experience of partnering with Environment/Place/Communities services would be advantageous but not essential. 

This local authority work one day per week from their central London office.

This is a technically demanding position that will report to the Strategic Finance Manager and be tasked with managing and analysing large data sets in complex worksheets. This information will feed into strategic decision making and so the quality and accuracy of work is vital. This is a great chance for an analytical individual to make an impact and support a vital function. The role is continuity cover pending permanent recruitment later this year.
