Capital Finance Lead

Ambient People is working with a local authority to recruit an interim Capital Finance Lead to help rebuild and strengthen their capital programme and capital accounting processes. This interim will play a key role in re-establishing these processes, engaging with stakeholders across both finance and the wider council to deliver accurate and sustainable reporting.

There is some support available, but the successful candidate will need to operate strategically whilst also being hands-on, particularly in the initial stages. You’ll be a capital finance expert, ideally with local government or similar public sector experience. Strong communication and influencing skills will be essential, as you’ll be working with multiple teams to drive cultural and process change.
