Cloud Migration Lead – Infrastructure-Focused

We’re supporting our client who are preparing to take a bold leap from legacy on-premise infrastructure to a cloud-based future. This is a critical assignment to lead the migration of all applications and data, overseeing the transition from traditional SAN environments and legacy Citrix dependencies.

They’re seeking someone prepared to roll up sleeves and with experience in leading similar on-prem to cloud migrations and who’s been through full-stack cloud migrations before.

While an external partner will support delivery, you’ll be the council’s internal lead, working closely with the Programme Sponsor, steering the plan, managing supplier performance, and ensuring the operational realities are understood and addressed.

What you’ll bring:

• Extensive experience leading cloud migrations (public sector a plus)
• Deep infrastructure knowledge - SAN, networking, Citrix environments
• Strong grasp of supplier oversight in complex tech transitions
• Leadership mindset, with hands-on delivery capability - this is not a hands-off role
• Agile delivery understanding is helpful, though approach is still being defined
• Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS is desirable - final decision TBC
