Early Years Funding Manager

Ambient People is working with a local authority to recruit an interim Early Years Funding Manager to provide essential leadership and stability within their Early Years service.

This six-month assignment will cover a vacant management post and play a key role in overseeing the effective distribution of Early Years funding across the borough. 

You’ll ensure the council meets its responsibilities around both capital and revenue elements of the DfE’s Early Years Entitlements, working closely with registered providers to support accurate, timely and compliant payments.

You’ll bring strong partnership-working skills, taking a positive and collaborative approach with colleagues, providers and wider stakeholders. A sound knowledge of the Synergy system is important, as is the ability to lead, support and develop a small team.

The successful candidate will be responsive, proactive and comfortable working to deadlines, ensuring funding processes run smoothly and the service continues to deliver for children, families and early years settings.
