Finance Manager - Capital

Ambient People is working with a local authority to recruit an interim Finance Manager to join their Capital & Treasury team during a critical transition period.

This role will provide cover for a departing postholder and play a key part in ensuring continuity across core capital and treasury functions. The successful candidate will lead the tail end of audit, budget setting (including the Capital Strategy and Treasury Management Strategy), and Outturn/Closing, alongside overseeing the day-to-day capital monitoring cycle and treasury dealing.

You’ll bring strong local government experience with direct exposure to capital and treasury accounting, alongside proven people management skills. The team is well established but developing, so the ability to lead, support and add value is essential.

This contract is offered on a hybrid working basis.
