Head of Financial Operations

Ambient People are working with a local authority looking to appoint a Head of Financial Operations to provide strategic leadership across its finance operations, overseeing transactional finance services and driving improvements across the wider finance function.

You’ll need significant senior finance management experience within a local authority or similar public sector organisation, alongside a strong understanding of transactional finance processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, debt collection and financial controls. Experience leading teams and delivering transformation or process improvements is highly desirable, particularly where this involves digital solutions and automation.
