Schools Finance Consultant

Ambient People is working with a local authority to recruit an Interim Schools Finance Consultant to support the delivery of deficit recovery plans across a number of schools experiencing financial challenges.

Working closely with schools and the local authority, you'll ensure financial information is accurately reported and compliant with local authority requirements. You'll provide practical financial support and guidance, helping schools strengthen their financial management while contributing to the redesign of existing accounting processes.

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous experience working in school finance, either within a school or a local authority education finance team.
• A strong understanding of school accounts and financial reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and confidence working with financial data.

This could work on either a full time or part time basis. Given the time of year, there is some flexibility in terms of a start date and a longer notice may be considered but please apply promptly as applications will be reviewed as they are received.
