Chief Accountant

This is a specialist and vital role for a London Borough, leading the financial accounting team through audit and financial year end, and working closely with the wider teams across corporate finance. This post will be supported by a skilled and experienced team and be tasked with bringing this knowledge and expertise together to successfully manage the financial reporting and control for the council.

Reporting into the Finance Director, the Chief Accountant will have leadership responsibilities for the Financial Accounting team, presenting a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional, confident in local government finance, with experience leading teams through accounts closure and audit.
